College Baseball: No. 6 CMU Takes Series With 15-1 Win Over CSU-Pueblo

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.–No. 6 Colorado Mesa defeated RMAC Rival CSU-Pueblo, 15-1, Sunday at Suplizio Field to take the series 3-1. 

Mitch Corwin led the way at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three runs, five RBIs, and a grand slam to break open a big lead in the bottom of the eighth. 

Eight players from CMU (26-6, 20-2) combined for a total of 16 hits, including Garrett Carpenter who extended his hitting streak to 19 games. 

Kyle Davis gave up one run on four hits and struck out seven in six innings of action. The right-handed pitcher improved to 4-0 on the year. 

The Thunderwolves fall to 16-15 overall and 12-10 in RMAC play.
