Grand Junction Advances in the Class 5A Playoffs

Game Highlights

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-Tenth-seeded Grand Junction opened the 2013 Class 5A Playoffs with a home win over twenty-three seed Westminster, 32-8, Friday night at Stocker Stadium.

Grand Junction will now advance to play Columbine in the Round of 16. The Rebels beat the Tigers, 37-20, in the opening round of the 2012 playoffs, so redemption is on the line for Grand Junction this time around.

Game Notes:
*Junior WR, Jack Parsons, exited Friday night’s game in the third quarter with a left knee injury. He did not return and will be evaluated this week. He had a pick-6 in the third quarter to break the game open.
